I find this to be very hard in my technical school, there are some courses that it would be very difficult to do with a physical disability, but more importantly I find that some individuals are psychologically unable to accomplish these feats either and not necessarily because of a disability but sheer laziness.  I think its so individualized as to what a person is capable of.  That said, I teach phlebotomy and had an individual sign up for course who was legally blind.  He did well, but was unable to find work.

motivation is the key to success in the classroom!  The students take the motivation they learned into the field!

I JUST DID ANOTHER COURSE ON SOFT SKILLS- ED 115- IT REALLY CORRELATED WITH ACTIVE LISTENING. I FEEL THE COMBINATION OF THIESE 2 COURSES WILL REALLY ENHANCE THE PERFORMANCE OUTCOME OF MY STUDENTS.

I LOVED THIS COURSE!  I TRY TO ENCOURAGE SO MANY DIFFERENT ACTIVE PARTICIPATION SKILLS WITH MY STUDENTS.  THIS COURSE REALLY HELPS IDENTIFY AND OUTLINE DIFFERENT WAYS TO ENCOURAGE STUDENT PARTICIPATION AND DIFFERENT STRATEGIES AND RISKS INVOLVED IN CHANGING THE " LECTURE" FORM OF GIVING INFORMATION TO OUR STUDENTS

I REALLY APPRECIATE LEARNING ANY NEW TECHNIQUE THAT WILL ENGAGE MY STUDENTS AND YET BE EFFECTIVE IN THEIR RETENTION OF THE MATERIAL!

I have had several students that have had issues with reading comprehension or difficulty in retaining oral information.  when i implemented games into my classroom and instruction i saw a huge increase in these types of students abilities to not only understand the inforamtion given but to retain the information as well.  I feel that incorporating material in different ways can only increase the value of the course inforamtion to the student.

I really enjoyed the subject matter and Patricia Scales.  i will definetly be looking for other presentations from her!!  i am now utilizing her " minute papers" in my class room.... they really keep my students focused!!!

I did get 2 pieces of information i could use in the classroom.  The overall course, i felt was not clearly defined nor was it easy to follow

Using hands on skills that is out of the normal..... like not using text books.... excites my students and gets them to refocus and learn.... it breaks the monotony of lecture and note taking!
