The bingo game in teaching new and didatic techniques

Using hands on skills that is out of the normal..... like not using text books.... excites my students and gets them to refocus and learn.... it breaks the monotony of lecture and note taking!

I would agree. Most student are more likely to participate if there is a hands on activity to go along with the lecture. They tend to be more excited about the career field that they have chosen.. One the biggest problems with incorporating a hands on project with every subject is having the time to thoroughly complete them wihtin a career college because of the overall pace.

I would like to add that besides the regular ways of teaching, like a lecture, ppt or just oral presentation there should be ways to grab our students attention,I need to bring in all the diff ways I can in order to capture my students attention,as it becomes boring and students tend to just seem to have ADD!i teach the same subject sometimes  6 hrs/day,if anyone has some new ideas to share please do let me know, for example, if it is an Anatomy and physiology class, and have to cover 3 chapters in 5 hrs!what are the different ways to make this long class interesting as well as giving them all the course objectives  to be covered in that time frame.
