As the career college sector enters into a transformational stage, much change is required.  Managing this change effectively takes a talented and multi-skilled leader with a strong vision.  

So for all you leaders out there....what do you see for the future of this sector?  What vision can we look forward to?

 

It appears the career college sector is ready to change in a variety of ways - in fact...there is no choice.  Many have seen the former models of admissions training and "selling" to be less effective anyway.  So what's holding people back?  It's the fear of change.

We find some would prefer to stick with tried and true methods (albeit much reduced effectiveness) since they are at least predictable.  Trying something new means letting go of long held beliefs - and that is a challenge. It will be nearly impossible to change the behaviors that are necessary unless we can… >>>

Getting back to basics is so true, Barry! Not sure what you mean by "NOT shortcutting the questionnaire" though. Can you help me understand?

Hello Michael.  To answer your questions on "information limits" I want to make sure I understand what you mean.  If you are asking what should they answer or not answer I believe there is no limit here.  I think the KEY is the AR knows how to handle the call effectively WHILE providing the information they seek.

Excellent assessment Elaine! It surely does take both skill sets (management and leadership)along with the knowledge to know which one to use. I'm curious, how do you know which skills to use based on the people involved?
