Activity

Linda, it sounds like you are taking a step back to evaluate your effectiveness in working with your students when leaving voicemails. This can be difficult, so don't be too hard on yourself. The great news is that the awareness you gain by doing so can offer ideas on specific areas that you'd like to improve, like voicemail messages. What might you say in one of your new voicemail messages to reach your students? Dr. Jean Norris
That is great awareness Linda. It sounds like you have a plan in place to start making those outbound calls a success. Please keep us informed of your success. Dr. Jean Norris
Lisa, thank you for sharing this. It sounds like you value leadership and know that in order to lead others, you have to know yourself. Self awareness will allow you to know how you will relate to others too. Keep up the great work. Dr. Jean Norris
Sergio, that is great awareness. By being able to listen to each student individually, you can tailor your response to that particular student. I'm curious, what steps will you put in place to help you with this? Dr. Jean Norris
Kimber, great point. Tours can be a great way for potential students to feel engaged and envision themselves at the school. Keep us posted as to how your next tour goes. Dr. Jean Norris
Isabel, that is great awareness. By listening to what they are saying, you can ask follow-up questions and tailor your response to the individual student. Now that you have this insight, what steps are you planning to take to start using this technique? Dr. Jean Norris
Kimber, great point here and what a great opportunity. By tailoring your questions and the interview experience to your students, you are doing your part to build that relationship. Dr. Jean Norris
Connie, great job here. It sounds like you had some great "take-aways" from this course. Please keep us informed as you use this new technique. Dr. Jean Norris
Cara, thanks for your honesty here. There never seems like enough time in the day to get everything accomplished, right? Now that you are aware of this, what are your steps going to be to break that habit? Dr. Jean Norris
Great job Cara. It sounds like you have a plan in place for when you are talking on the phone. I wonder, what do you do if a potential student isn't looking to come into the campus just yet? Dr. Jean Norris
