Best practice for supporting diverse students specially with learning disabilities is to provide accommodations, allowing extra time to complete tests and answer questions because of their cognitive ability to process thoughts. One action plan for me is to actively participate in student's individual personalized learning plan and always involve student's insights. One major challenge is ADHD because some students distract others if they are insecure or have a learning disability.

Students with learning disabilities have resources available to assist them in meeting success goals in college. They must self-advocate with the institution because personalized learning plans are not available in college.

Students entering post secondary institutions need self advocate learning disabilities to instructors if they require accommodations and modifications of assignments to be successful in meeting objective goals.

Students can be successful in school if the signs are noticed early and students provided time to complete assignments. This section discussed many learning disorders that contribute to students' behavior problems in school. Oe specific disability that was bought to my attention was Dysgraphia I didn't realize that it was a disability, because students today use computers more, writing was placed on the back burner so to speak.

Students with a learning disability  need support not a crutch to assist in accomplishing and successfully completing classroom assignments.

When choosing an assessment format make sure that it is fair, accurate, and allows students to demonstrate their knowledge and expertise.

If students don't learn soft skills that are relevant to maintain a career being on time, getting along with co-workers communicating with workers, clients and patients then the institution has failed that student. Major skills that are taught include critical thinking, writing, communication, problem solving , ethnical reasoning and values and attitudes and areas must be assessed for understanding.

I learned that questioning evaluates students level of understanding, teachers should ask open -ended questions, provide wait time 1, wait 2, silent time 3 seconds, and use different types of questions.

I learned that students learn by different learning styles, written, auditory, visual and Kinesthetic.  Blended groups  is the best practice for teaching a class to reach all learners.

Students will respect professionalism in the classroom from the teacher rather than a friendship with the teacher. They need guidance and from instructors they already have friendships with their peers.
