The learning styles for individuals based on the culture/generation that raised them is very interesting. A lot has changed in learning practices for each generation.

Boundaries and making time for rest/relaxation is important so I don't burn out. For some reason, this is hard for me to do.

I had a student this week withdraw from all of his classes to check into a recovery center for first responder PTSD that he is dealing with. I was able to be understanding, supportive, and encouraging to him during his situation. His last message to me on Friday was the address to his recovery center so I can write him letters while he is there.

An instructor's attitude can help students have a positive experience when they are working with a new and sometimes challenging technology.

I like using LMS for quizzes because I can give multiple attempts and immediate feedback.

I think that it is important to be aware that while devices can be very useful in a learning environment, not all students have access to them.

Instructors should consider the following when introducing technology to their students as part of their course.

Educational Benefit
Financial Implications
Training Schedule
Rollout Timeline

I think rubrics can be used extensively in assessment. Rubrics play a large role in how student learning is evaluated and recorded.

Objective assessment is a generic term referring to tests where there are clearly right and wrong answers.

I think it is important that instructors must assess and evaluate students' work on a regular basis to determine if a growth in learning is being achieved. Feedback is essential.
