incorporating technology has been a useful tool with our students. The students of today are so used to being able to perform online. It is important for their success to be very familiar with the technical tools in their particular career to make them marketable and a valued asset to the field when they are job searching!

Making sure our objectives are clear and end the end that we have accomplished all of the objectives is so important. I use this as a way to measure my effectiveness and I encourage my students to use the objectives as a way to measure their comprehension of the course work presented.

staying current on your course content is so important for providing students with the latest and greatest techniques and information. Applying this new information through you coursework is imperitive!

Every cohort will present with a different learning style or need. We need to be flexible and be able to apply our course content in different ways to reach all students.

Communication skills are priceless. Since I have been an instructor I feel I have grown exponentially in my ability to communicate with students, patients, and coworkers. I feel this is one of the most important skills for professionals to develop and hone as it will serve you in evry area of life.

I am learning how important it is to model the behavior we desire from our students on every level. Another important thought that I have taken from this so faris that arriving at a solution to a problem immediately is not always best. Letting students go through the process and thoughts necessary to arrive at the solution is just as important as the solution itself.

These ideas are very helpful when thinking about engaging the quiet student. I really like the idea of having different students be in charge of moderating the discussion. We are working with a blended curriculum in a fast paced program so having enough synchronous time to incorporate some of these ideas will be a challenge.

I like the idea of providing examples for discussion question responses and the expectation. Many students will respond with good job or I agree with your response which does not enhance the discussion.

choosing a communication tool that is easy to navigate for myself and our students was one of the biggest challenges that I faced when our classes wen inline for covid. noe that I have this experience, i find it easier to role with it. We hav figured out what works well and what doesnr and we continue to learn..

I am trying to continue to improve my teaching strategies so I am anxious to learn more about active learning. I am excited to incorporate more active learning in my courses
