About me

Activity

choosing a communication tool that is easy to navigate for myself and our students was one of the biggest challenges that I faced when our classes wen inline for covid. noe that I have this experience, i find it easier to role with it. We hav figured out what works well and what doesnr and we continue to learn..

I am trying to continue to improve my teaching strategies so I am anxious to learn more about active learning. I am excited to incorporate more active learning in my courses

This has made me think a lot about my workload and how to improve my communication through utilizing frequently asked questions/answers. I feel like I spend  a lot of time trying to assist students with technology based questions about assignment submissions etc. I am not strong in technology skills so this is time consuming on my end.

As an instructor I like to keep things organized and clearly marked in modules. I try to find videos and other worksheets or assignments to enhance the  students learning.

Reflection and evaluationis always important so we can make the necessary adjustments in our courses and become better online facilitators.

There are many ways to enhance online learning. It is important to find what works well for you and make sure students are able to use it as well.

Posting information about myself as well as having students do the same will enable me to build a better relationship with my students!

I intend on incorporating some of the flipped classroom techniques into my classroom. I have noticed that the student of today seems to do much better with interactive learning. I would love to spend more time facilitating the mastery of the content over trying to manage the classroom for long grueling lectures in a limited amount of time

I found this course to be very interesting and am looking forward to applying some of these ideas to my next term start!

Discussion Comment

I too deal with students that are unable to refrain from talking. They are great students, but just can not help themselves! At their age I feel a seating arrangement should not be necessary but, may be my only option. Suggestions??
