One strategy I plan to use is encouraging students to explore and experiment with AI in a low-pressure way. Many people approach AI with hesitation or fear of making mistakes, but I have learned that some of the best learning happens when you give yourself permission to play, explore, and be curious.

Along my own AI journey, I realized that I first needed to understand my own thinking. AI often acts like a mirror, reflecting the quality, assumptions, and direction of the input I provide. Once I recognized that, I became more comfortable experimenting, asking questions, challenging ideas, and learning… >>>

One strategy I plan to implement is having students use ChatGPT as a thinking partner rather than an answer generator. Instead of asking it to complete their work, I will encourage students to use AI to explain concepts, generate ideas, troubleshoot problems, and organize information. I want students to compare AI-generated responses with their own knowledge and determine what is accurate, useful, or missing. This approach helps develop critical thinking skills while still allowing students to benefit from the speed and accessibility of AI.

In Tool & Die, accuracy and judgment are critical. Just as students must verify dimensions and… >>>

One positive impact that ChatGPT can have on education is that it makes learning more accessible. Students can receive immediate explanations, examples, and feedback, which can help them understand difficult concepts and learn at their own pace. It can also help instructors create materials, organize information, and develop new learning activities more efficiently.

One negative impact is that students may become overly dependent on AI and use it as a shortcut instead of developing their own critical thinking and problem-solving skills. If used improperly, AI can reduce the learning process by providing answers without requiring students to fully understand the… >>>

One thing I picked up along the way about AI and how I can use it is that I first had to figure out my own thinking. Once I worked through some of my own internal struggles, I realized that AI acts a lot like a mirror. At first, I found myself wondering whether I was fighting my own input, whether AI was filtering responses through my biases, or whether it was simply being overconfident because I had provided poor information. Eventually, I had to let go of my pride and recognize that the quality and direction of the responses… >>>

I plan to use AI to create new content based on existing technologies and information. Through this course, I have learned that even when AI cannot fully assist with a specific topic, it is still a valuable tool for organizing ideas, identifying patterns, and bringing clarity to complex or messy information.

Why are you here? You are human. You already know how to navigate life and do your job. Don't let the noise confuse your role—you do what you do best, and let AI handle what it's good at.

AI: Why is it here? The rapid evolution of AI can be intimidating, but it only becomes scary if we project our own fear onto it. At its core, AI is just a tool, not a replacement. By stepping up and engaging with it instead of avoiding it, we strip away the fear of the unknown. Once we understand its purpose, we… >>>

I see AI as a new technology that people will gradually adapt to over time as they learn to trust both themselves and the AI tools they use. I believe AI has the potential to create a huge leap in communication and help people share accurate information more effectively with one another.

AI is also beneficial because of the vast amount of information it can help us access and organize. As humans, we can learn to trust and effectively use the tools we create to make our lives easier, continue learning, and better understand both how we operate and how… >>>
