One of the biggest things I learned from this module is that teaching online shouldn't simply be taking what I would do in a traditional classroom and moving it to Zoom. Students need opportunities to participate and interact with the material instead of spending most of the class listening to a lecture or watching a presentation.

Going forward, I want to be more intentional about breaking up my presentations with questions, polls, discussions, breakout rooms, and activities. I also want to pay closer attention to whether students are actually understanding the material rather than focusing on how much content I… >>>

Taking the time to think about what worked well in a lesson and what could be improved helps me make adjustments that benefit my students. I have found that some lessons may work well with one group of students but need to be approached differently with another. By paying attention to student participation, questions, assignments, and areas where students may be struggling, I can make changes to my lessons, provide additional examples or resources, and adjust my teaching methods. Reflecting on my teaching helps me continue to improve my courses and create a better learning experience for my students.
