Thank you for your post. Our school provides an abundance of support for all classes. Students are now trying to fit class in with much to full schedules. I do help with the scheduling, but some have very little time remaining after work and picking up kids. It is a challenge.

I like to teach more than just the basic course (Automotive), with in the first two weeks of school, students must summit a resume, Seniors will also fill out for scholarships. We talk about the different "Fields", (Technician, Sales, Parts, etc.) and students will demonstrate Customer Services. So and the same line that you were talking about, I try to show the students that in taking my class they are not locked into one career path. Also I try to show them that I care about each and everyone of them.
