Activity

I use a video introduction as standard practice. It may be advantageous to use video for feedback. My concern is that it would take significant time and not be watched by the students.

Motivations of students vary. They will continue to evolve over time. It is important to be observant and aware of the needs as each student and each class is unique.

Relationship is what humans do foundationally. All else is built on this.

I have learned over the last five years that this is the most important aspect of classroom preparation.  Without the students attention, the rest can be perfect and useless.  Motivation of the student allows the engagement.

Comment on Diego Serrato's post:  Hi Diego,  Yes, this is the greatest challenge for working with adult students who have families and full time jobs.  We do become creative and strategize so we have their attention.  This engagement is needed for the success of their learning.

Saving links and digital materials saves time for other supports for class.

Short and frequent connections will keep the connection and not interfere unnecessarily with student/ professor lives.

Our greatest asset is time.  What we save from wasting is reserved for living.

These organizational skills are critically important to the efficacy of the class and its success.

These types of course evaluation are already in place.  We have other avenues of evaluation also.
