Taking this course reminded me of a very helpful course I took while doing my BA in Education/major in French.

The accredited course consisted of tutoring other university students struggling in (written) french classes.  We had a center called CAF where a supervisor and reference books were at our disposition on specific hours and where we held one-on-one tutoring with a few students assigned to us.  We had the responsibility of creating a lesson plan with a series of homework targeting their specific needs/difficulties.    The learning service was an invaluable experience which was beneficial to both me as a future mentor, and to the students in need of academic help.
