I am very aware of my body cues are very important, I am flexible and hear what my students are saying with good eye contact.
I keep the word "aware" in the back of my mind while teaching. It allows for me to take assess the classrooms temperature and determine if a real time adjustment is required to regain the students attention
As an instructor teaching fellow adults, I have always reminded myself to be respectful, not treat them like children, to be careful when socializing after class, and to remember they are there for their education with their own goals and ambitions, my job is to facilitate their goals.
