With regards to industry validated technical standards, I have learnt that the standards in caption relate to benchmarks and yardsticks established by industry professionals and or organizations that define the skills, knowledge and proficiencies required for specific job or fields. These standards play a major role in ensuring that educational programs are in line with the needs of employers and the preparedness for the job market.
Some key features are:
Firstly, standards should be created or validated by professionals, trade association, and industry organization that possess understanding of the skills and capabilities necessary for the success in the job market. Secondly, there should be regular reviewing and updating of changes in technology, industry practices and job requirements. Thirdly, standards should be linked to assessment and certification, allowing students to demonstrate proficiency and team credentials authorized by employers.
I intend to apply these standards by designing assignments that reflect real world scenarios in the industry. I will also incorporate case studies and simulation that require students to use industry validated practices and problem solving techniques. Finally, I will require students to provide reflection on their learning and teamwork experiences.
