Good way of communicating with an employee

1. The importance of the task

2. Why the employee was chosen to perform the task

3. The extent of the employee's authority in performing the task

4. Any constraints or requirements affecting the task

5. The end result you expect

6. The required completion date

7. Any standards which will be used to evaluate the employee's performance on the task

The employee also needs to understand that there will be follow up given by the supervisor and that they may come to the supervisor with questions and concerns after they have thought out the problems

I agree! Being available to the employee is vital at any time. Asking an employee to perform a duty without expectations allows for error, frustration on both the supervisor and employee.
