Logic in Diagnostic Procedures

Teaching the California Certified Emissions and Diagnostics program requires Logic and Critical Thinking in every aspect of it. In this program, students start the process of becoming Diagnosticians, something one can not do without logic and critical thinking, which are essential to problem-solving. Problem-solving is the result of logic and critical thinking.

Luz,
Right you are about problem solving. The use of common sense that is the result of using both logic and critical thinking will yield the needed results for students now and in their future employment areas.

one of the phrases that you would hear here at school is "if you can't tell me what caused the problem you can't repair it." I am a firm believer in that statement I don't think you can correct a problem (1) without logic thinking or (2) common sense.

Cecil,
You make a very good point and one this reinforces the value of having a foundational knowledge of the situation and then building from there. That is how good decisions are made.
