Gary I will give the answers at first. but like to ask question in class at random to get them to remember important info.
i use repetition.i find by doing something over and over again helps

As you say repetition is a great tool for retaining course information but also finding a way to bring in where this fits into their career path and what they need this information for often deepens the knowledge and importance of retention.
