managing methods

use different ways students can code lectures

I tried an exercise in allowing the students to create in writing their own coding system and share it with the class. The results were quite impressive for the scores and the increased levels of critical thinking.

Hi Lee,
Good strategy. Thank you for sharing it with us. This gets the students more invested in critical thinking and problem solving.

It is very important to make students part of the learning process. If we constantly try to tell them how to learn, they will never develop their own style.

Students can often develop strategies that not only benefit their own learning, but can also be shared with other students.

Students can also be creative in coming up with their own acronyms and nemonics and have fun in the process.
