The students gathering information from outside sources will help them learn how to gether from scholarly resources. In other words, they will learn to gather information from one feed rather than spending unnecessary time reviewing numerous websites in search of relevant information to share with the class during group discussion. This will help with student end of course case presentation for our program which later prepares them for reviewing research information.

Relections and action plan

This course was a review of one of my grad class. I will continue to change the my teaching styles to match my students learning styles from term to term. For example, using visual aids will giving lectures and having them to explain according to their reading home work. Allowing them to role play and use the equipment in the lab during lecture and lab.

Laptops and typing lowers students grades?

I agree electronic affects the student grades. I may experience students that took the time to write their note grades improved, but the student that cut/paste their notes from the internet and the online books fail behind in class. In addition, examine with recall, analysis, and application questions these student did not do well. On the other hand, the student with written note performed better.

An instructor's flexibility, an understanding that babies do come early, families experience the death of a friend or loved one, blizzards prevent travel to class, illness of student or child takes priority encourage motivation

Performing a mid-course evaluation will give you the pulse of the class. By knowing how the students are progressing in the course you will know that you are right on course with their training or if you need to make any changes.
