Use an object like a pointer or a pen to be a "talking stick" to suggest that only the person with the talking stick can speak. 

Providing immrediate accomodations for students with learning disabilities can help them to be just as successful as those who don't have learning disabilities

 

Without instructional supports many learners are not going to be successful. Instructional supports are simple to provide and are of great help to such students

A way to prevent students' "feelings of disparity" is to assign each group member an operation or contribution that interconnects with the work of other group members. 

 

Eye contact is an essential form of communcation not only for your students but for anyone that you encounter.

 

Grades should be set up so that students can easily see how they were calculated.

Assignments definitely have to be revisited if the majority of the students are having difficulties with them.

 

I love using the large sticky Post-it notes on the wall for activities.
