Nicholas , Do you ever have situations where you are not able to complete your planned lesson for the day? If so, what action do you take to ensure that the lesson is delivered? Tremayne Simpson
Jill, I have also taught general and developmental Math courses and have found that the mathematical skill levels vary drastically, in each class. What methods do you use to keep the interest of students that have advanced mathematical skills (that are enrolled in the course with students that are not as advanced)? Tremayne Simpson
Nicholas , What methods do you use to document your lesson plans? Are instructor lesson plans share "publicly" (via the faculty portal) at your institution? Tremayne Simpson
Julie, Employing methods that will enable your students to become more autonomous, is an effective way to prepare them for their careers. If instructors do not provide these types of opportunities, it could create a culture of "highly dependent" students. Tremayne Simpson
Anthony, As I explained to Krista, there is an immense value to using field equipment and visuals aids, during lecture. Textbooks and lecture notes can provide great information, however the students receive an authentic experience when they are able to practice with the equipment. Tremayne Simpson

Michael, It is a great idea to have supplemental material available for daily lessons. In addition, the material can be used in situations where a student may ask for more examples of a particular topic (beyond examples that are provided in the textbook). Tremayne Simpson
Colin, Have you ever had a situation where the students were not able to meet the expectations of the prerequisite course (based on their assessment)? If so, do you alter your lesson plans to "refresh" the students' comprehension of what they should have learned? Tremayne Simpson

Krista, This is a great way to implement technology in your course. Our instructors also try to provide students with the opportunity to utilize industry equipment and realistic visuals, whenever possible. The visuals in the textbook do not produce the same responses that are seen, when students are presented with the actual equipment. Tremayne Simpson
