I found the list of safety standards to be outlined well and made me think of reorganizing my teaching on the topic of general safety.

There are so many rubrics to choose from. I'm thankful for all of the examples provided. I'm not overwhelmed. I'm excited for all of the choices and mixes available.

I found the idea of a virtual lab to be interesting. I will look up what that involves and view some examples. Maybe it would be fun to incorporate for students who get injured in sports or have other physical difficulties that pop up during the semester.

It was interesting to read the arguments against competency based learning. Some schools are moving away from it as other schools are moving toward it. It seems like some districts are treating it like a "flavor of the month".

Everything in my shop is independent work, but is collaborative as students work side-by-side. Assessment comes in many forms.

I could see using portfolios in my woodworking class as it would challenge their skills and prepare them for other CTE courses. Portfolios would also be a tangible example of success for students.

Fink's Taxonomy has a bit more of a "Human" caring element than Bloom's.

Some of the best information in this portion was seeing the comparisons of characteristics and challenges of different kinds of assessments.

Some of my most effective quizzes combine multiple forms of questioning. T/F, multiple choice, and word bank/matching questions.

My course and my style of teaching usually generates a lot of useful, spontaneous questioning.
