Robert, You are right. There are things we have to take with a grain of salt, but we also have to "take" all comments. I try to encourage students to comments on the course content, set up, etc. and not their own personal grades. But, you're right - there is a first time for everything! ;-)
Robert, There are a variety of stakeholders and a variety of evaluations are beneficial as well. Each person who provides information through evaluations comes at it from different perspectives that can all help the instructor. Thanks!
Robert, Right. Many times when we provide positive feedback to students, it may be the only positive thing they hear all day or all week. We have to keep being positive. Thanks!
Robert, I use Chickering and Gamson's research quite often. It's good for F2F and online classes as well. I recently did a study using Chickering and Gamson's seven principles and the Quality Matters rubric standards for higher education. It's interesting to think about these principles in may ways. Thanks!

Robert, Right on! Time management skills are important and we have to help students learn how to prioritize things and get assignments done on time. Thank you.

Robert, Thanks for your extensive post. You provide great content to help others learn more about teaching online. Communication must be clear and timely and it's important to assess each technology tool to make sure it meets our needs. Developing those time management skills and helping motivate students is key elements as well. Nice job.

Robert and Ejike, Thanks for continuing the conversation. Any time an institution helps prepare the online instructors, the better. This supports not only the instructors, but the students as well. Thanks!

Robert, You bring great experience to this forum. We all need a "roadmap" to help us create online content. Thanks for your input.
Chris, Great. I find that my students are honest in their feedback and their feedback helps me make necessary edits to make the course better. Thanks for your input.
