Robert, You are right on track. The objectives/learning outcomes are essential. They must be communicated to the students through the syllabus, rubrics and any way you can. Knowing your students are different an may learn or need information in a variety of ways helps you provide more meaningful feedback as well. Nice job.
Diana, Thanks for your input. I like your saying "You are one click away from spell check." But, as you know - that doesn't catch everything. ;-) Even if you feel you should have done something in the past, you can learn from the present. You can also pass the information about taking a refresher course on toyour students. They may feel the same way. And, as you noted in your last sentence. . .being prepared to communicate is essential. Thanks again.
Lisa, You are right on target. These are good questions and you definitely should get student input about how the technology was used, whether it was helpful, etc. Thanks for adding to the conversation in this forum.
Peter, Best question ever - What can I do to improve the course? Great job, Peter. Thank you.
Peter, Nice job! Starting with the goals of the project so students know what to expect is essential. If you can use a rubric with the course/project goals written into the rubric, students develop a better understanding on what is expected of them and how their work will be assessed. Examples and being constructive in your feedback is very good. Stay positive, but help the students see how they can improve through your individualized feedback. Thanks again for your input. You have definitely added to the conversation.

Peter, Thanks for your input. It is great that you are thinking about your online course from the students' point of view. The most I have learned about teaching online was from taking an online course. Believe me, I learned what NOT to do and that's just as important as learning what TO do. Thinking of the textbook and PowerPoint presentations and how to engage students is also essential. Right on!

Robert, Thanks for your input Even though you don't develop the courses yourself, it's a good to think about good course design as you develop ways to interact and communicate with your students. You are correct in thinking about the framework, what the students know and how to achieve the course objectives. Nice job.
Esther, Make sure you define "rapid." What students may think is rapid and what you think is rapid may be two different things. Many use the guideline of within 24 hours. Thanks again.
