Robert, Thanks for your organized thoughts. It's good to abide by any school regulations. Grading within 72 hours is a good guideline. The timeliness and consistency in your feedback is essential. I like that you also noted professional and detailed. Nice job. Thank you for your input.

Diana, Rubrics help guide the instructor and student. Always give the rubric to the students with the assigned project so they know what is expected and how they will be evaluated. Thanks.

Diana, I am glad you enjoyed the module. It's interesting that you have already notices a difference in your students using the discussion board. You are on track to assist all age students in your classes. Thanks for your input.
Diana, You are correct. Tone and timeliness go hand in hand. It's always important to be professional. If at all possible, in any contact with students, try to be positive first even if negative or constructive criticism is to follow. Thanks for you input.
Diana, Great input. Thanks! Using communication tools to help students reach course outcomes is of utmost importance. Robert, Thanks for your additions to this forum. I'm glad you have experience in teaching online. Being flexible and prepared are essential. I do much of my teaching online asynchronously, but do have several synchronous sessions for students to attend. I typically plan 4-6 synchronous meetings and students must attend 2. That gives them some planning time. If your live sessions are optional, that's cool too. Nice job.
Lisa, Thanks for your input. The first session is the opportune time to go over all of the expectations, code of conduct, etc. I am like you and use the 24 hour rules on getting back to students. All of what you are doing is helping you establish your pattern for communication. I agree in the professional level of no texting language. Nice job!
