Jae, Thank you for your organized thoughts. You are right on track with providing current and detailed information to the students. All content should be relevant and relate to the real world to make it more interesting to the students. Nice job.
Sherrie, Meaningful and relevant feedback is specific to the students' needs and motivates them to learnmore. Feedback must be consisent and frequent. Some others have posted that they take the "sandwich approach" to feedback. Take two positive slides of bread and put constructive criticism in the middle. So, start postive, add constructive criticism and end on a positive note. Thanks.

Melissa, Thanks for your organized thoughts. You are right in that you need to integrate the learning outcomes and course goals. Is your "Master Course Outline" something your school does? Thanks!

Deborah, Yes, you are right. The syllabus for an online course will be very detailed and long. But, it has the necessary information. Keeping up with your communication with studdents is awesome. Keep it up.

Gerry, Thanks for your organized thoughts. Thinking about the feedback you received from previous classes will help you make improvements right up front. Peer evaluation is great and getting that syllabus going and full of details. Nice job.
Gail, Knowing your audience and how to communicate best with them is essential. I was at a confernce a couple of weeks ago and another online instructors said he asks his class how they want him to communicate with them. He gives them the option of a Facebook group, Blackboard discussion board, or email. They choose one and that's how he communicates with them. Then, they are responsible for checking the one area because it's the one they chose. Thanks.
Mark, It's hard to keep up, but we have to continue to try. The students many times can help us if we let them.
Mark, When the students actually get in the field, they will see how to implement what they have learned. They'll be able to provide valuable feedback. Sometimes it's hard to keep in contact with them to continue getting feedback. Nice job.

Sherrie, Thanks for your input. You have hit on some good points. Helping students understand the course outcomes/objectives and realize what is expected of them is an essential step. Providing content in a variety of ways is also important. Through all of this and your communication students should be able to interact with each other and you easily. Thanks again.
Tina, You have been busy with these forums. Thank you for your input. Asking students what they don't understand is a great way to improve the course the next time. Thanks!
