John, Right on again. Students are very different and as someone posted on one of my forums, he has a 65 year old and 18 year olds in the same class. Helping them all use the technology is the key. Thanks!

Andrew, Thanks again for your input. Rubrics do help students understand what is expected and helps instructor grade more consisently. Both, are important. Thanks.

Andrew, Good point. Patience and proper teaching play into the teaching environment in many ways. And, who doesn't know who Billy Joel is? Ha! I quote Andy Griffith in my classes sometimes just to make a point or just for fun and students don't have a clue who I'm talking about. I hope you know who that is. ;-) Thank you for your input.
Andrew, You are so right. Sarcasm and humor can be so misunderstood. You have to be careful with such communication. Netiquette rules/regulations can help students understand that as well. Nice job.

Kathleen, Right on again! Course expectations go along with the course objectives/outcomes. When students feel comfortable and begin to build community, that's when they really begin to communicate. And, scaffolding the learning helps all students. Thanks.

Kathleen, Thanks for your organized thoughts and input in this forum. I like the way you think. ;-) The course objectives/outcomes must be incorporated into everything you do in the classroom so the students understand why they are doing what they are doing and what is expeted of them. Offering content and feedback in a variety of ways helps meet students' needs. And, the course assessment and revision stage is ongoing. Nice job.
Elke, And, when you get the feedback from the students do the best you can to update the course for the next time. Thanks for your input.
Jae, Creating feedback that is quick, but meaningful is a challenge. However, your feedback should be positive, thorough, connected to the rubric and motivational. Nice job.
Sherrie, Thanks for yout input on this forum. It is nice to see that you use a combination of feedback. Student feedback is very different than peer review. Nice job.
