Harold, Thanks for your input. The main thing with rubrics is to realize they help both the students and the instructor. The instructor will be able to be more consistent in grading and the students will understand the expectations.

Marissa, Right on! Content and process are important and then the technology that assistas in the development and delivery of that content. The pattern of communication is important and should be developed by each instructor. Although everyone may do it differently, the students need to have communication frequently. Marissa, You are right. Online instructors do have to assist online students to become successful online, but they need to help them take steps to help themselves. Becoming a facilitator of learning is difficult sometimes. We like to "dump" content on them instead of helping them learn. Thanks for your input.
