Joseph, The "C" words are most important. Consistent, clear, communication, clarification, etc. Being timely is at time difficult. I explain to my students that 24 hours is "immediate" to me. Thanks for your input.
Joseph, You hit the nail on the head when you noted that taking the feedback from the students is essential. Excellent. The class size does affect how you teach and what tools you use. Thanks for your input.
Paula, Knowing what the students kmow, even about technology, is essential. Using a variety of tools allows all students to be able to get information and participate. Thanks for your input.
Shanel, You are right on! Setting those expectations is essential. Serving as a role model and providing examples is important. This goes for netiquette too. R-E-S-P-E-C-T - it was a song - Ha! - is very important. Thank you.
Charles, I have done some research on providing feedback to students and when I record my voice and pull up their document (or Web page or whatever the assignment was) and show them and explain to them my feedback, they tend to watch and listen more. If they make the same mistakes, I tell them to go back and watch and listen to my feedback again. Hope this helps.
Charles, Thanks for your input. You are so right. For the feedback to be meaningful, it must be individualized and sandwich some constructive criticism between positive information. This does go a long way.

Jake, You are right. The learning outcomes are essential to the development of the course. Making sure the students undertand the expectations ties directly to the learning outcomes as well. Nice job.

Patricia, You must use rubrics. It will change your life and your students lives. Go for it!

Patricia, Correct - R-E-S-P-E-C-T! That is the key. Keep communicating and be respectful. Excellent.

Allen, Thanks again for your input in these forums. There is diversity in every class. Diversity can be age, race, experience, socioeconmic level, generation, etc. The points you bring up, I believe, will make people think about who is in their classroom and how to reach each individual. Communication is the key. Nice job.
