maryln, The criteria, again, are the key elements. That's what makes them just right or too rigid. Thanks for bringing this up.

maryln, The criteria are the key elements. I agree with you that the rubrics should be available to students early. I'm a "front loader" and everything the students need (except tests) I load into the LMS a week before classes start. I give them a week to "look around" and become familiar with the course before we begin. Thanks!

Mary, AND they benefit the instructor as well. Thanks for your input in this forum.

Jeremy, Right on. Every tool we use should provide students and US feedback so that they and we can improve. Nice job.

Cynthia, Nice way to use rubrics. We are so blessed to have one tool that helps both teachers and students. Thanks!

Mary, Right - we have to understand our audience - which is our students. Adult learners want their "money's worth" for their learning. Nice job.
Mary, A good pattern of communication does include meaningful feedback and good quality communication. Thanks for your input.
Mary, It's all about getting to know your audience. We have to know who we are teaching to reach them most effectively. Thank you.

Jeremy, Great. I like that kind of format for my teaching as well. And, we do seem to get the know the students well and understand their generation better. Thanks!
Bob, You are doing course evaluations every three weeks? Why?
