We have a day planner that lays out what is covered that day. When doing demo's we must make sure the product (motorcycle) is reassembled at the end of class.

Goal setting

An unreasonable goal is one that has little to no chance of being attained (based on organizational trending, available resources, vagueness, etc.) and will have a negative impact on employee motivation and morale. Usually these types of goals were not well thought out.

Active Learning

As a long time instructor I use several different methods of learning. Lecture reinforced with hand on studnet demonstrations, Where I lead the class step by step in preforming a task. Stopping them at certian points to show them a particular item myself.

Motivation

Most of my students work a night shift or long hours after class and come to school they are tired and worn out. I try to keep them motivated by keeping the class a fun place to learn, i ask alot of questions keeping them alert. I also have alot of hands on training to keep them busy and awake

I use power point for all lectures, I also direct my students to some of the different web site available if they are relevent to the lesson

Understanding Learning Objectives

Our objectives are layed out in the student workbook, I cover what we will be learning and why at the start of each day. Hopefully the student has read over that lesson plan the night before So they already have an idea of what is going to be taught that day.
