I AGREE retention is EVERYONES job on campus. When every department understand that things on campus run much smoother and this harmony is felt by the students which motiviate them to learn and come to school. When they receive quality interactions and good customer service even from the janitor it makes a difference in whether they want to come to school or not.

ED 102 - Information shared in Videos

I really enjoyed this class as well probably better than the others. Perhaps because that is my goal for this year is to improve my retention rate and lower my attrition rate. The suggestions and information learned will be helpful to me and I plan to apply what I have learned. The second video about what "great" teachers do is something that all teachers should see it really emphasized practical but necessary things and not jsut big things that can be done to help improve retention.

I recently completed ed106

I agree ED106 was one of the most compelling and appropriate and needed classes that I took. I never understand things like dyslexia and how our students are affected or what happens within thier minds as they are struggling to put sentences together. The class gave me good insight into the mind and world of the student. It also suggested some techniques that can be used as strategized to help these individuals who suffer with learning disabilities.
