I find that teachers who are passionate about their job want very robust communication that is student driven. But just as we all know students have different learning styles we must remember students have different communication styles as well. I think as teachers we need to be creative with how we deliver content. Even students who do not have a learnign disability will repsond to varied instructional techniques and learning supports. I also think this applies to assessments as well. If a student's grade is based soley on one type of assessment, they may score disproportionatley high or low depending on how they take to that type of assessment.
I feel that all students are diverse, individual. We need to remember to challange our students. If they come to class feeling that they can use crutches than they will. Not all students are motivated to learn. As teachers we have to push them to succeed. After they succeed they then push themselves to succeed again. Many career students have never been very successful in academic settings but that does not mean they can not be!

When repeating concepts, we as teachers need to gauge when are students are ready for us to move on. How do you balance those students who are ready to move on and those who have not yet grasped the concept?
