do lectures in 10 to 15 mins increments students may not reatin much informtion if there is to much given to them

Have students leave feeling comforatble so that they are confident they can get through the class. HAve students get to know eachther and introduce myself an have them do the same. 

keeping a checklist will ensure that I stay on task as a new teacher and hep keep me orgainzed 

I need to develop a personal development plan to highlight strehgts and weakness. I also need to futher learn new trends in the filed. 

Using a cellphone as a tool to allow studnetsto take pictures is a brillant idea. I do that currently inmy class. I also encurage them to go out and I suggest a list of places to go. Havingstudents discuss where they eat and share experience builds great team work 

I should create oppurunity to dissucs food saftey pratcices and introduce my students to ways they will be handling food in class and on site. Enocurage students t taste food and have timelines, and delevope leadership skill throughot the classroom environment

Pyscology plays a huge roll in the class room. Students will be motivated by differnt things/goals. Take time to incoprate real life topic discuissions and intriduce students to the diversty that they will see in the industry. 

WHat is the best way that you have found works best to engage your students. What exercises tips do you use?

I think this is a very informative course! I am learning that there are different ways to approach each generation of culinary learners/students! The food media industry does have a intense roll in influcing the next generation of chefs but it most certainely is not the best example for students to use when it comes to the fantasy of the industry. Students should have several avenues to the instructors information becasue they are kinesthetic leaners. Demostration and reinforcing powerpoints are a great tool for progressive learning.
