Yes, relating real life situations definitely promotes retention in my experiences.

Very true

I just started with ED 140 course, so far very interesting information is presented in this course of Five-Myths.

I agree. Integrity brings strength to the institution.

This course taught me importance of using auditory, visual tactile stimuli in didactic tracing.

Many times it does not allow holistic approach because fast pace end up putting emphasis on how soon the course is completed and grades are posted.

I agree instead of labeling them, we need to find solution to help them. I feel sometimes letting them know openly at the beginning of the class  that if they did not read their material or did not come prepared in clinical setting, then they will not be able to work competantly and will have to face unpleasant consequence like repeating the class or being dropped from the program. It was an excellent course on compliance. It helped me to understand regulations and standards for admissions to post secondary schools. The professional environment is built on understanding, accountability and compliant behaviors of all the employees as well as all the students.

I liked the scenarios and actual video clips. I learned at lot and have applied few in this present group.
