This is a learning experience because I've always taught " hands on " so this is a learning experience for me also so I'm going to be learning at the same time about wikis ,blogs, and chats so I have to keep up so my students get the education they need for my course so they can sucessfully learn my course and earn the knowledge they need to progress

communication is utmost getting thru to your students is a primary concern getting them to interact with the instructor and other students is an excercise in patience to get thru sometimes older students will generally pickit up right away others you have to learn how to reach them and still keep the class rolling along one has to figure out how to reach them 

Every student is a fingerprint all the same yet have their own uniqeness one has to discover where each individuals weakness is one needs to be ready to adjust to the circumstances without compromising the end result which is to have your student ready for the real world

rubrics are new to me communication is important one needs to use a rubric to communcate the importance of learning the subject and understanding to the student that this is a key to grading their performance without alienating them

Learn to communicate effectively across the generational gaps reach out to those who aren't understanding exactly what you as the instructor are trying to get across to them and find the bridge to knowledge

encourage communication and set your guidelines make sure they understand guidelines and follow them because it is part of the curriculum and work with your students not everyone learns the same way be flexible but stay in the guidelines

Make sure that the communication you choose gets the points you need to impress upon your students will work discuss this with your students and use the one that fits the best and follow up and make sure that it works

communication ,feedback {always be constructive} be ready to tweak your teaching style good rapport with your students encourage participation constantly evaluate how useful it is engage your students and listen to them

Be organized be effeicent be available every student is a fingerprint they are all a little different so you have to be ready to come up with another solution sometimes to get your point across and make easier for the student to absorb the information because what you think should work sometimes takes a little tweaking to get the lesson across everybody's thought process does't always  work like yours

lots of tools out there finding tools that fit the application is tough especially in my subject internet classrooms are great but my trade eventually you have to put your hands on tools and be able to function in the field can't wire a house from the computer !
