A feasability study is one of the most important aspects of starting a program. It helps the group to determine the need for a new program. This yeild extremely valuable information!

The 10% rule for marketing was a new concept for me. It provides an understanding of the suggestions that were mad by FA to revsie my marketing budget.

I have learned additional information about the key components of starting a new program. This information will be added to my existing body of knowledge to improve the programmatic development process.

There are numerous things that I learned in this training. Some of the most important are the various ways to promote student success.

The five year plan is integral in continous development and improvement of any organization or entity. The five year plan allows the stakeholders to assess the current landscape and prepare for the future viability of the organization. It is a fiscally responsible tasks to ensure organizational success.

The courses will include a combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning. The OFM will visit the new instructor's class within the first 30 days to provide feedback and coaching. Faculty will have a annual development plan to broaden their online teaching skills and abilities.

It is critical for faculty members to understand programmatic accreditation requirements and adher to them. Taking the time to show new faculty this information can aid in their compliance with accreitation standards/ requirements.

As I am hiring faculty, I will consider the "real world" expertise that they will bring to the classroom. I will also consider their level of expertise with the various types of online learning and LMS systems (static versus interaction).

This module has taught me strategies to effectively manage a project that I am currently completing. The information on developing a team and taking time to train the team is very important step in the management process. Your team is only effective if knowledgeable!
