This section provided me with additional things to consider during the selection process. The multiple hurdle method was one of the strategies that I have found beneficial in the past. I also like to rank applicants as well as write qualitative information to use for future positions or if the 'first- choice' applicant refuses the job offer.

It is rewarding to know that I have been using a number of these strategies to recruit faculty members at WCU as well as other institutions.

It is critical to consider the knowledge, skills, attributes and other qualifications of prospective applicants. It is also best practice to have the same set of questions for applicants. Therefore, you are comparing applicants on the same scale. I also like to observe applicants teaching a lesson to get an idea about their teaching skills and abilities.

I learned strategies to engage advisory board members to help promote the success of the organization!

It is extremely important to determine if a prospective board member is truly interested in serving. This will enable you to fill your board with individuals that are invested and committed to the program's advancement.

Career colleges can opt for an Advisory Board or a Board of Directors. There are many parameters to consider when selecting directors for the Board.

In the past, I utilized the advisory board to assist with creating a mission, vision, review the strategic plan etc... However, I have never engaged an advisory board to assist with student persistence/ retention stragegies. I will inquire about their experience in this area as a proactive approach to maintaining student retention.

This section provided excellent information on strategies to extrapolate the data. The information will be applied to making revisions to the MSLP Program during the development phase. In general this information may be applied to using the data or science to drive change.

The data can tell the team pertinent information about a potential program as well as an existing program. This information may be used to modify and improve the existing program.

It is important to reach out to a variety of stakeholders to obtain information. This section listed several members of the community that I did not anticipate or consider contacting to obtain information about the feasibility of a new program.
