In this module, I learned that leadership should be analyzed through the interaction between the leader, the followers, and the situation. A leader’s personal history, character, motivation, and experience influence how they lead, but followers also play a critical role through their expectations, trust, competence, and motivation. I also learned that the situation shapes the type of leadership required. I intend to apply this framework by becoming more intentional in how I assess each leadership context, understanding my team’s needs, building trust, and adapting my leadership approach according to the people involved and the specific challenges we face.
