I learned that effective coaching is about helping employees grow, improve their skills, and take ownership of their development. A good coach does not simply point out problems; they provide specific feedback, ask thoughtful questions, listen, and help the employee identify solutions. I also learned the importance of observing behaviors, giving clear examples, and separating coaching conversations from performance evaluations.
