I find that by asking open-ended questions that ecourage dialog and conversation, with instructor-guided feedback, is a useful way to get students to interact and stretch beyond their own beliefs or intellectual boundaries.  It is important for the instructor to be well-versed in the topic and have the abilty to guide the discussion without losing control or going into "lecture" mode.  I find that I can learn from students using this method and learn to stretch a little myself!

Passing rates are now an integral component of your Florida Nursing Assistant program:  if your first time pass rate is lower than the national average, you are in danger of your program being placed on probation or terminate by the Florida Board of Nursing.  We offer FREE online videos that can be accessed by your students that demonstrate the proper performance of each skill according to current Florida state standards.  These videos can be accessed through our website www.4YourCNA.com and encouraging your students to view these videos will improve your overall pass rate. Just a suggestion for military transitioners: there is no current crossover from corpsman to any specific civilian certification, but in Florida (and a few other states), these individuals may challenge the CNA state exam without any additional formal training.  They may use their previous experience and online resources (free) to prepare for a certification exam that will lead to in-demand employment opportunities and quick access to jobs.  4YourCNA.com has free online videos as well as online workbooks to help these individuals transition into the civilian workforce.
