Constructive descriptive feedback is something I need to practice. Responding to expressed needs in an appropriate way is another area that I need to think about.

Having grown up with the "sage on the stage" type of learning it will be a challenge to embrace more active learning. However, this will certainly benefit the students who choose to take these kinds of courses as many of them prefer hands-on learning as opposed to a lecture.

Course revisions are an ongoing process and should be added to planning and organizational expectations.

Clear communication is vital to provide worthwhile student feedback

Planning to have a schedule is an important time management tool. It is also important to convey this to students who may not have work in the online environment in the past. Also keep in mind that not all students have the technological skills to effectively navigate the online world.

However, I came to realize that I had ADHD students, students with anxiety disorders, and a student with a particular disability in her fingers that we had to explore and make accommodations for her to be able to perform activities in the lab. Already I had had to incorporate changes into my approach to students. This was an enlightening course.

Rich feedback is detailed and descriptive.
