Service learning is an important tool for students to learn how their community can benefit from the skills they are learning in school.

Evaluation is important for the students because it shows what they have learned during their experience and how it has benefited the community.

Service learning is beneficial for students to learn about a future career and learn more about their own growth.

Direct and indirect service learning projects will benefit both the students and the community.

Badges are a wonderful way for students to work toward knowledge and mastery of a subject, and not simply a letter grade, which could be ambiguous.

Technology can have an incredible impact on student interaction, involvement, and learning.

When students work in groups and are meaningfully involved in the classroom, their input is valued and there will be more rapport between student and instructor.

Students need to take ownership and responsibility of their own learning.

Intrinsic and extrinsic motivators are both important for instructors to harness in the classroom.

Give your students the power of choice and evaluation so they feel like they are part of the decision-making in the classroom and have some control in their learning.
