Even the best employees sometime need support, direction, advice and commendation. In order for managers to deliver relevant and useful support, they need to know their staff, both as a team and individually, and treat each person as a "lifelong learner". To me that means providing staff with critiques as well as congratulations and ample opportunities for staff to participate in a wide continuum of training and support that is tailored to the team or individuals on the team. Lots of good information in the RT101 training. The big takeaway for me is that this is a "people first" approach. All of us, no exceptions, go through times of stress, self-doubt, indecision, and the inability to trust that things can change for the better. And for that person/student to be able to move through those concerns and feel empowered, often requires the support and optimism of another human being that can help to bring clarity and a renewed and more positive outlook. Each one of us at P&C can have a hand in this important retention and life process.

Being a great listener is an Act of Kindness when conversing with others; friends, colleagues, family or strangers.

This specific training is as valuable as all the others combined! Know thyself! And work on continual improvement in all areas.
