Seeing the diagram of how the input of reading writing and listing creates a varied output is eyeopening. I never thought about it in those terms.

One of my biggest obstacles is to remember names. One way to overcome this is to make sure to call on as many students as possible each day, also, using a "popsicle" stick with each students name on it to pick at random when I call on students helps me remember their names and keeps their attention as I could call on them at any time.

I have dealt with both the angry student and the student who attempt to cheat. What I have learned is prevention may be easier than reacting.

I have seen these different types of students, The ones that bother me are the ones who are distracted by cell phones, etc. I find it difficult to compete with TikTok for their attention. Walking and standing near them does help, but I have found myself having to ban the use of their devices during lectures. The rest of the behaviors I have not had difficulty dealing with.

Being upfront about the classroom expectations and rules, adding the WIFM, and icebreakers are all great tips on how to set the tone for the beginning of the ysemster.

Start small, but remain consistent and make every effort to remove barriers. Simple communication with administrators, students' parents, and fellow teachers can be a great way to help resolve issues that may arise.

There are many factors that go into flipping a classroom, for one is the amount of technology and reliable internet the students have available. Therefore the effort needs to be student-based learning to allow them the opportunity to absorb the content at their pace.

The barriers of this method include lack of technology at home and students' own self-motivation. Because some students will not want to be responsible for their own learning. You have to able to hold them accountable for the work and responsibilities for this to work. Also, It will require a lot of time to prepare for. The payoff, however, is a brighter level of understanding and performance based on blooms taxonomy.

I think this is an interesting idea, especially now, post-pandemic when so much work is being done online. Digital resources like pear deck will make this effort easier. I do see getting the student to "buy in" as a challenge. This will definitely take trial and error to get started, but once it's running I can major benefits.

Consistency is key,
