I like the idea of giving the student's quizzes that they can have multiple attempts can not only provide them checks on their learning, it also lets them understand the content better in their own way on their own terms.

The organization of the course is a huge asset. The content should be broken down into modules that are well structured and sequenced so that the students can learn it in small segments at a time.

There are many challenges in an online learning environment. Following procedures set by the administration, and keeping a record of all interactions is a great tip. Especially when trying to reach out to a student who has not been active in the class

I think learning when and how to use synchronous and asynchronous discussions will enhance setting expectations for student involvement and enhance students learning content. 

Introductions that include professional highlight academics accomplishments and personal interests can help humanize you as a teacher and as a person. Asking the students to introduce themselves to each other, in the same way, can create a more comfortable learning environment online classroom.

I learned so far that I need to get more familiar with the support structure of the CMS to be better able to offer support to students. I should offer an online tutorial or I also need to take the time to get familiar with the navigation of the CMS prior to diving into the course content.
