We try to provide both extrinsic and intrinsic motivation for our students, we hope this allows them to perform well in their courses. 

Autonomy is vital in adult learning environments.

Give clear guidelines and expectations so the students know what they will need to prepare for. 

Adult learners can be more focused than their younger counterparts, but need respect and support. 

Our students are all full time workers, online learning gives the the flexibility to work toward a degree.

As an instructor you must be able to adapt to the needs of different students. 

Passive learning is the phase that lays the foundation for active learning.

The main ingredient is effort, and to get the results we all want, we need to include the students in the process. 

I am planning on researching the Second Life platform. 

I will post more rubrics for students to be clear on expected outcomes.
