You must be sure all students are able to access the technology needed for assignments if required for the course.

It is important to keep up regular communication with online learners. 

There are many different forms of communication to use in the online environment, and we do need to provide direction on how to use them for those students that may be unfamilar or those that struggle with technology.

I liked the video announcement suggestion. I also liked the list of questions to see if students are prepared for an online course.

Institutions need to treat everyone equally, and to respect all students and potential students.

Accomodations should should make sure all students have equal access, it is not designed to ensure success for those students that require them. 

Accomodations need to be tailored for each student's unique circumstances. 

I learned about accomodations and institutional requirements for students with disabilities. 

I have learned that communication needs to start early, and be ongoing for student success. 

Communication skills are vital in all aspects of life, both personal and professional. Helping students to improve these skills will help them be more sucessful all around.
