Always make sure your ears are on in the classroom and also be a respectful listener if  a student is talking to you never pull out your phone or look at your watch.

Students as customers made it clear that no matter how much they frustrate you you must keep your customer service skills sharp and always ne respectful at all times to the customers/students,

There are plenty of external challenges that affect student retention for every type of student and once they are in class there mind will go back to the pressing issues outside of the classroom.

It is very important for the instructor to know the subject very well. That way the instructor can deliver the information in a way that is not just reading from a slide show.

I like the idea of providing simulations that can align with real world situations the students may encounter.

Really try your best to make the classroom a great learning space as well as do not be afraid to put your own small spin on the room as well. Keep it simple yet inviting.

Something as small as just changing one word in your delivery can completely change the way the student will take on the task.

Find a better way to deal with the stress and do not go the known route of smoking or drinking, find a healthy alternative to help.

Work life balance is very important yet it is one of the hardest ones you will work on to come up with a system that works for you. Just remember you will not figure it out overnight this will take some trail and error.

Do not let your emails coming in from all times of the day take away from the task your are already doing. Instead set a set time window that you only take care of emails with. That way you can give your full attention to the emails.
